Opening hours, tickets, getting there and access — everything you need to plan a visit to Bojnice Castle.

Opening days change with the season. In June–August the castle opens daily; in spring and autumn it is closed on Mondays; from November to March it is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays.

Ticket options

The main route is the guided Castle and cave tour — 75 to 90 minutes through the most interesting rooms and the cave below. Pick your date and arrival time when you book.

Reduced tickets apply to seniors over 62, students up to 18 and ISIC / EURO26 holders, and children aged 3–15. Children under 3 go free. Bring the card — it is checked at the entrance.

The Castle and cave tour — the Count's apartments, the Golden Hall, the Huňady Hall, the Middle Castle and the travertine cave. Booked online in a couple of minutes.

Getting to the castle

Bojnice is a spa town next to Prievidza, about 2 hours by car from Bratislava. Buses run from Prievidza station (10 minutes). Parking is below the castle, and the walk up through the park takes 5 minutes.

Accessibility

The tour route includes many stairs and is not suitable for wheelchairs or pushchairs. The park and the courtyards are accessible.
